Papain Papaya!

Papaya is an exotic tropical fruit that tolerates not even light frost  for growth. It is sweet and bears a musky soft and butter like consistency. It was once called the "fruit of the angels" by Christopher Columbus. Papaya is spherical or pear shapes that can grow as long as 20 inches. Their flesh and skin are brightly orange colored while some are red.

Inside the inner cavity of the fruit are black, round seeds encased in a gelatinous-like substance. Their seeds edible but is somewhat bitter. Papayas have an enzyme called papain that helps in food digestion and is able treat sports injuries, other causes of trauma, and allergies. They are also a rich source of antioxidant nutrients such as carotenes, vitamin C and flavonoids; B vitamins, folate and pantothenic acid; as well as minerals, potassium and magnesium; and fiber. Together, these nutrients promote cardiovascular health system and protects against colon cancer.

Papayas can be eaten raw as fresh slices of juicy fruits. The unripe ones are called as one of the major ingredients in making Thai green curry. Others would prefer a glass of Papaya Milk juice, and this one is especially popular among the ladies because it is good for the skin, aids constipation and promotes healthy growth in the body.
