Swoon with Fried Kuew Tiao and a glass of Smoothie

Yummy.. look at that.. it is delicious beyond words.. Fresh tasting vegetable cutlets, capsicums and chicken chunks. I was on a diet originally but.. well that becomes an exception. We call it fried kuew tiao here.. 'kuew tiao' are typically wider strip noodles .. bit like fetucine but lighter.. it tastes really nice and slightly spiced with salt and asian sauces.. The best ones smell great and the elders have a name for it 'Wok Hei' .. it implies truly great skills of frying them until they got that particular 'WOk Hei' ; means the heat and the smell being infused fully into the meal. Now, you ask Laksa or Fried Kuew Tiao? I do not have the answer.... both are good...
Think of complementing that with a glass of strawberry smoothies.. Fresh strawberries blended with yogurt on ice... nothing is more healthier than that... you should really try..

Curry Laksa BeeHoon with Rojak

Have you ever tasted the real authentic curry laksa with bee hoon or rice noodles? You should if you have not because it is the queen of all soup based noodles that you can find in south east asian countries. It has that spicy yet savory taste combined on coconut milk creating the unique taste on each mouthful. I used to watch people finishing the whole bowl in less than 3 minutes.. It is strange that people gulp and keep ordering some more..

To accompany this, SEA people would opt for a plate of 'Rojak' made from fruits such as pineapples, squid, chestnuts and kangkong topped with traditional prawn paste. 'Chok.. chokk.. chokkk..' what a nice way to end a meal and you get to exercise your jaw bones chewing away these fruits in sweet paste with sprinkles of chopped nuts as well..

Exciting Meal at KFCs

Less than $5 bucks and you can enjoy a decent nice meal at KFC. The taste is guaranteed to suit most taste buds as the Colonel really did his research about getting that unique taste like no other. The texture, the color of the chicken, the overall assembly, the hot bun, the price and most importantly the signature taste is truly unique you dont find it at your grandma's or auntie's house. It does not mean their fried chicken ain't comparable its just that overall, a happy fuss free meal is always near you and welcomely available.

Original recipes or hot and spicy make up kid's favorites or maybe grandma's favorite.. The servers are always happy and smiling and the service is fast, the outlets are bright lit with meals ready for you to order in less than 10 minutes. So what can be better than being able to enjoy your meal with your loved ones in such a nice restaurant? I used to think that fast food is not good for health, but after some time, put it this way, this place is a great feed on your mentality because you get to enjoy a meal without having to worry about anything and it tastes really nice. So, maybe even if its packed with chemical preservatives at some point, yet surely it wont hurt that much if you work out and supplement missing nutrients from other meals at other times? After all, the coffee there is not bad and the colonel's burger.. :D

"Dou Fu Hua" made from Soya Beans

Dou Fu Hua is among one of the best lady foods around. They are made from soy beans and formed as curds white in color. Typically they are tasteless but the way to eat them is to pour honey or glucose syrup as the clear base. Best served chilled and on a hot day, surely it takes away the tension. Usually nice ones are smooth and soft as silk. There are other toppings that can go with them to add more nutrition, such as ginkgo nuts, sesame seeds or hawthorn. As soy beans promise vibrant skin and healthy intestines, so does 'Dou Hua'. Just before it becomes curds, its called 'Dou Jiang' and in Hong Kong, 'dou jiang' is considered a traditional breakfast. Usually, people take 'You tiao' with 'Dou Jiang' because add them both together, gives enough energy and nutrition to start their busy lifestyle. Old folks would not have any problems drinking and eating 'Dou Jiang' or 'Dou Hua' apart from the fear of pain from Rheumatism due to the soy beans? However it is, certainly a great way to enjoy mid afternoon and it promises low calories and some ladies eat them to lose weight..
